Funeral services for Barbara Connelly Edenfield, 78, of Cairo, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 30, 2024, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Terry Hurst will officiate.  Private interment will be in Pleasant Grove Community Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mrs. Edenfield passed away at Archbold Living in Cairo, GA, on Friday, June 28, 2024.

Mrs. Edenfield was born on May 31, 1946, in Glasgow, Kentucky, to the late Sylvan Junior Connelly and the late Velma Louise Strode Connelly.  On June 20, 1979, in Whigham, GA, she married Barley Edenfield, who preceded her in death on December 15, 2012.  She was a retired seamstress.

Survivors include her children, Barley Edenfield (Erica) of Boston, GA, Sharon Stuckey of Cairo, GA and Timothy Barfield of Valdosta, GA; grandchildren, Eleck Edenfield of Boston, GA, Aubrey Edenfield of Crawfordville, FL, Madison Jesson of Thomasville, GA, Bailey Jesson of Boston, GA and Levi Stuckey of Cairo, GA; sisters, Lola Gainous of Cairo, GA and Linda Young of Thomasville, GA; half-sister, Carolyn Herferry of Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; brother, Gary Connelly; and a son-in-law, Gary Stuckey.

Memorials may be made in Mrs. Edenfield’s memory to New Shiloh Baptist Church, 13437 US Highway 319 North, Thomasville, GA 31757.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, June 30, 2024, immediately following the service.
