Funeral services for Jimmy Edward Anderson, 67, of Ochlocknee, GA, are at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, March 19, 2016, at The Connection A.O.G. Church of Thomasville, GA. Rev. Jason Puckett and Rev. Mike Nichols will officiate. Interment will be in Ochlocknee City Cemetery, Ochlocknee, GA. Mr. Anderson passed away at his home in Ochlocknee, GA, on Wednesday, March 16, 2016.

Active pallbearers will be Michael High, Michael Pippins, Ed Watson, Shon Cardin, Junior McMullin, and Johnny Henderson.

Mr. Anderson was born on January 6, 1949, in Cairo, GA, to the late Buford Anderson, and Erie Ferrell Anderson. On May 6, 1996, he married and shared 24 years with Elaine Marlow Anderson. He was owner and operator of Jim’s Dry Wall for 40 years. Jim enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and hunting and was an avid horse shoe enthusiast. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include: wife, Elaine M. Anderson of Ochlocknee, GA; daughters, Samantha Walker (Danny) of Tifton, GA, Trevena Weeks (Franklin) of Ochlocknee, GA, Patty Briggs (John) of Frostproof, FL; sons, Russell Anderson of Pavo, GA, Rick Winders of Ochlocknee, GA; grandchildren, Raegin and Duncan Walker both of Tifton, GA, Parker, Lawson and Hayden Weeks all of Ochlocknee, GA, Allie, Becca, and Jacob Briggs all of Frostproof, FL, Whitney Anderson of Athens, GA, J. R. Anderson of Thomasville, GA; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronnie Anderson (Jahaza) of Meigs, GA, Ken Anderson (Beth) of Ochlocknee, GA; sisters, Cecilia Womble of Ochlocknee, GA, Glenda Williams (Harold) of Savannah, GA; close family friends, Sherrill and Mary Dunham; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Wayne Anderson, Jackie Anderson; and sister, Brenda Bass.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, March 18, 2016, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
