Doris Lee Elkins Harrison

Funeral services for Doris Harrison, 78, of Calvary, GA, are at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 4, 2016, at Piedmont Primitive Baptist Church, Calvary, GA. Elder Jon Mizell will officiate. Interment will be in Piedmont Cemetery, Calvary, GA. Mrs. Doris Harrison passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mrs. Harrison was born in Calvary, GA, on April 9, 1937, to the late William Leonard Elkins and Lottie Lee Johnson Elkins. On May 14, 1954, she married Donald Laverne Harrison, Sr. Mr. Harrison preceded her in death on March 4, 2001. Mrs. Harrison was a homemaker, and she was of the Primitive Baptist faith. Doris was a wonderful and devoted wife of 46 years, mama, grandma, and Nana.

She is survived by: daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie Cantley (Archie) of Calvary, GA, Cathy Healy (David) of Tallahassee, FL; sons and daughters-in-laws, Donald Harrison, Jr. (Jackie) of Calvary, GA, Steve Harrison, (Toni) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Clay Cantley (Allison), Freddie Cantley (Susanne), A.J. Cantley (Gretchen), Jessica Healy, John Healy (Raynelle), Brandon Harrison (Meghan), Brittney Harrison (Chad), Samantha Harrison, Sydney Harrison; great grandchildren, Maddox and Emslee Rose Cantley, Drew Cantley, David Healy, Harper Jake Harrison; brothers, James Elkins (Patricia) of Calvary, GA, Byron Elkins (Nancy) of Chattahochee, FL, and a host of much loved nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by: her parents, Leonard and Lottie Elkins; and her husband, Donald Laverne Harrison, Sr.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, April 3, 2016, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.
