Funeral services for Roy Thomas Gossett, 17, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Mike Newsome will officiate. Interment will be in Hawthorne Cemetery. Mr. Gossett passed away at his home in Grady County, GA, on Sunday morning, May 29, 2016.

Active pallbearers will be Austin Sellars, Alex Lee, Clay Gossett, Shane Gossett, Emmett Simmons and Adam Lee.

Mr. Gossett was born on October 6, 1998, in Cairo, GA, to Clinton D. Gossett and Maranda Lee. He was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include: mother, Maranda Lee of Cairo, GA; father, Clinton D. Gossett of Thomasville, GA; brother, Austin Sellars (Lacey) of Cairo, GA; niece, Khloe Sellars of Cairo, GA; grandparents, Roy and Vivian Lee of Cairo, GA, Deanie Gossett of Ochlocknee, GA; step-brothers, Kalib Merritt, Blake Merritt, both of Cairo, GA; and step-sister, Elaina Merritt of Cairo, GA.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Clinton Thomas Gossett.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
