Funeral services for Drucilla Sanders Pope, 84, of Cairo, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Wayne Cook and Rev. Kenneth Green will officiate. Services will conclude at the Chapel. Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Pope passed away at Magnolia Place in Cairo, GA, on Saturday morning, July 2, 2016.

Active pallbearers will be Don Pope, Jay Sanders, Robin Sanders, Herman Sanders, Russ Simmonds and Greg Powell.

Mrs. Pope was born on March 16, 1932, in Climax, GA, to the late Jacob Edmond Sanders and Pansie Irene McNair Sanders. On December 25, 1951, she married Perry Lamar Pope, who preceded her in death on August 16, 1986. She retired from Roddenbery Memorial Library as a bookkeeper. Drucilla was an active member of Cairo Fitness Center Morning Aerobic Class. She was a member of the Climax Advent Christian Church.

Survivors include: sons, Richard Lamar Pope (Eve) of Cairo, GA, Perry Alan Pope (Lorraine) of Whigham, GA, Mark Edmond Pope of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Michael Lamar Pope of Cairo, GA, Kayla Michelle Pope of Cairo, GA, Alaina Suzanne Pope of Whigham, GA, Jackson Harrison Pope of Whigham, GA; and sisters, Doris Doss of Dawson, GA, Virginia Lee of Thomasville, GA.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; and brothers, J. C. Sanders, Ronald Sanders, Roscoe Sanders, Earl Sanders, Otis Sanders.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., the funeral hour.
