Funeral services for Vernice Sadler Sellers, 78, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Ernie Beckwith will officiate. Services will conclude at the Chapel. Private interment will be in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Sellers passed away at her home in Grady County, GA, on Sunday, July 10, 2016.
Active pallbearers will be Duke Sellers, Josh Sellers, Mark Sexton, Clay Newmons, Dallas Bynum and Austin Sellers.
Mrs. Sellers was born on September 30, 1937, in Vada, GA, to the late Samuel Sadler and Jewel Clyatt Sadler. On January 11, 1958, she married J. W. Sellers, who survives. She retired as a seamstress with Ithaca Industries in Cairo. She was a member of New Covenant Full Gospel Church.
Survivors include: her husband, J. W. Sellers of Cairo, GA; daughter, Donna Gail Bynum (Clyde) of Cairo, GA; sons, Richard Sellers of Cairo, GA, Raymond Sellers of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Duke Sellers of Cairo, GA, Josh Sellers of Kershaw, SC, Jennifer Sellers of Thomasville, GA, Dallas Bynum of Cairo, GA, Crystal Bynum of Moultrie, GA, Bobbie Jean Bynum of Atlanta, GA; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; sisters, Edna Lawhorn, Barbara Phillips, Audrey Newmons, Willa Dean Tilley; and brothers, Sanford Sadler, Lonnie Sadler.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, July 11, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
