Larry Sim Ivy

Memorial services for Larry Sim Ivy, 65, of Whigham, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 6, 2016, at El Bethel Baptist Church, Whigham, GA. Rev. Bob Knight will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Mr. Ivy passed away at Grady General Hospital in Cairo, GA, on Thursday, July 28, 2016.

Mr. Ivy was born on April 16, 1951, in Daytona, FL, to the late Rev. Sim Ivy, Jr. and Willa Mae Borders Ivy. On November 15, 1970, he married Beverly Morris Ivy, who survives. He served his country in the Florida National Guard. He retired from Grady County as the Code Enforcement Officer. He was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church in Whigham.

Survivors include: his wife, Beverly Morris Ivy of Whigham, GA; son, Curtis Ivy (Tonia) of London, KY; daughter, Elizabeth Iggy Ivy of Whigham, GA; grandchildren, Gavin Ivy of Whigham, GA, Jakeria Church of Whigham, GA, Bryson Ivy of London, KY, Malasia Williams of Whigham, GA, Raelyn Ivy of London, KY; brothers and sisters, Bob Ivy (Michele) of Alpharetta, GA, Mickey Ivy (Frances) of Polk City, FL, Janet Parker (Archie) of Ochlocknee, GA, Jon Ivy of Whigham, GA, Matt Ivy (Jill) of Ochlocknee, GA, Dot Ivy of Ochlocknee, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
