Funeral services for Tommy Marvin Faircloth, 80, of Cairo, GA, are at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2016, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Robert Crapps will officiate. Services will conclude at the Chapel. Private interment will be in Tired Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Whigham, GA. Mr. Faircloth passed away at Magnolia Place in Cairo, GA, on Saturday evening, September 24, 2016.
Active pallbearers will be Hank Walsh, David Stokes, Wesley Smith, Ashley Faircloth, William Faircloth and Wilson Faircloth. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Stokes, Freddie Lyle, Johnny Tuggle, William Tuggle, Floyd Searcy and Ronnie Johnson.
Mr. Faircloth was born on September 25, 1935, in Whigham, GA, to the late James Marvin Faircloth and Elizabeth Eakin Faircloth. On April 19, 1971, he married Elizabeth Rudd Faircloth, who survives. He was self-employed as a real estate developer and a tree farmer. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: his wife of 45 years, Elizabeth Rudd Faircloth of Cairo, GA; daughters, Gail Faircloth Smith of Panama City, FL, Sylvia Faircloth Hutchison (Tim) of Cairo, GA; son, David Faircloth of Monticello, FL; and grandchildren, Wesley Smith, Whitney Smith, Kristen Hughes, Ashley Faircloth, Tabitha Doolin, Meagan Hatcher. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Vann Faircloth.
