Funeral services for Clarence Jona Clark, 40, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 10, 2016, at Gordon Heights Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Al Sessions will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. A private interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Clark passed away at his home in Cairo, GA, on Wednesday, October 5, 2016.

Active pallbearers will be: Jody Brinson, Adam Starr, John Couch, Austin Welch, Scott Lamb, Jeffrey Morrell, Ronald Morrell and Dink Cox. Honorary pallbearers will be: Gene Benton, Jimmy Beasley, Craig Beasley and Tim Beasley.

Mr. Clark was born on October 14, 1975, in Cairo, GA, to the late Durham Keith Clark and Vickie Beasley Clark Vanlith, who survives. On April 9, 2016, he married Sarah Benton Clark, who survives. He was a carpenter and a member of Gordon Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include: wife, Sarah Clark of Cairo, GA; mother, Vickie B. Vanlith of Monticello, FL; stepfather, Randy Vanlith of Monticello, FL; stepsons, Skyler Schebaum of Cairo, GA, Scott Hickman of Cairo, GA; stepdaughter, Jasmine Sanders of Camilla, GA; nephews, Nicholas Clark, Gauge Clark and Ayden Clark, all of Pensacola, FL; brother, Ben Clark of Monticello, FL; grandmothers, Mandy Beasley and Beth Clark, both of Cairo, GA; and a host of family and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Durham Keith Clark; brother, Jason Keith Clark; stepdaughter, Starr Schebaum; grandfathers, Buck Clark and Harold Beasley; aunts, Wanda Clark and Beth Clark.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 10, 2016, at Gordon Heights Baptist Church Fellowship Hall from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 11:00 a.m.
