Judith Ann “Judy” King

Funeral services for Judith Ann “Judy” King, 74, of Whigham, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Ron McCaskill will officiate. Interment will be in Piedmont Cemetery, Calvary, GA. Mrs. King passed away at Centre Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center in Tallahassee, FL, on Monday, October 17, 2016.

Active pallbearers will be Todd Cummings, Kyle Cummings, Bradlee Knight, Jimmy Helm, David Matthews and Mike King.

Mrs. King was born on December 19, 1941, in Cairo, GA, to the late Grady Hart and Lillie Mae Jones Hart. On July 1, 1958, she married Lamar James King, who preceded her in death on January 16, 2009. She cared for children in her home day care and was a housewife. Her hobbies included fishing and crocheting. She loved to attend blue grass festivals and shopping at garage sales. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: daughters, Mickie King Cannon (Hershel) of Cairo, GA, Tondra King Matthews (Daryl) of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Courtney Cannon, Clayton Cannon (Emily), Cody Cannon, all of Cairo, GA, Lauren Helm (Jimmy) of Tallahassee, FL, Chelsea Knight (Bradlee) of Whigham, GA; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Joshua Griffin, Isaiah and Jaxson Cannon , Mason and Kelsey Cannon, all of Cairo, GA, Brandon and Hannah Cannon of Moultrie, GA, Luke Knight of Whigham, GA; sister, Jimmie Lou Hurst (Louis) of Havana, FL; brothers-in-law, Bobby Hilton of Calvary, GA and Carl King of Tallahassee, FL.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; sisters, Janice Hilton and Effie Mae Hart.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., the funeral hour.
