Memorial services for Glenn Morris Joiner, 57, of Cairo, GA, are at 4:00 p.m., Monday, December 5, 2016, at the First Baptist Church of Cairo, GA. Rev. Chris Allen will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Joiner passed away at Grady General Hospital in Cairo, GA, on Friday, December 2, 2016.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike McCuller, John Hardwick, Charles Renauld, Brandon Joiner, Don Hancock, Emerson Hancock, Bill Elkins and Billy Elkins.

Mr. Joiner was born on October 15, 1959, in Cairo, GA, to James B. Joiner and Annette Guy Joiner, both of who survive. On July 28, 1984, he married Molly Elissa Elkins Joiner, who preceded him in death on November 13, 2000. Glenn was a fabricator with MetroPower, Inc. in Albany, GA. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cairo, GA.

Survivors include: children, Kyle M. Joiner of Cairo, GA, Brin E. Joiner of Athens, GA; parents, James B. “Jim” and Annette Guy Joiner of Cairo, GA; brothers, Alan J. Joiner (Donna) of Cairo, GA, Walter E. Joiner (Kim) of Cairo, GA; father-in-law, Billy Elkins of Cairo, GA; nephews and neice, Brandon Joiner, Casey Usery, Hayden Joiner, Alec Joiner, all of Cairo, GA; and great-nephews, Bentley and Bryden Usery of Cairo, GA.

He was preceded in death by his wife; and his mother-in-law, Martha Ruth Elkins.

The family will receive friends at the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church on Monday, December 5, 2016, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., the funeral hour.
