Funeral services for Marilyn Virginia Barrett Connell, 64, of Whigham, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 23, 2016, at Trinity Primitive Baptist Church, Whigham, GA. Elder Franklin Bryant, Elder Dwight Marshall and Elder Jon Mizell will officiate. Interment will be in Trinity Primitive Baptist Church, Whigham, GA. Mrs. Connell passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Tuesday afternoon, December 20, 2016.

Active pallbearers will be David Connell, Ray Connell, Wayne Connell, James Clark, Lyndon Bruckerhoff and Fred McCallum.

Mrs. Connell was born on November 15, 1952, in Cairo, GA, to the late Daris Barrett and Gertrude Faircloth Barrett. On July 23, 1983, she married Donald Connell, who survives. She worked with the Cairo Wal-Mart, Inc. for 31 years where she was fabric and craft department manager. Her favorite hobby was doll collecting. She was a member of Trinity Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her husband, Donald Connell of Whigham, GA; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lavon and Melanie Connell of Whigham, GA, Faye Connell Adkins of Whigham, GA; nieces, Tabitha (James) Clark of Cairo, GA, Brandi Adkins of Whigham, GA; and her pets, Holly, Prissy, and Yeller. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, December 22, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
