Funeral services for Eric Olen Conrad, 27, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Rose City Church of God, Thomasville, GA. Rev. Gerald Horne will officiate. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Thomasville, GA. Mr. Conrad passed away in Cairo, GA, on Sunday, December 25, 2016.
Active pallbearers will be Justin Davis, Mike Byrd, Chuck Blake, Shane Geil, Matt St. John and Zack Longfellow. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Olsen, Eric Sawyer and Jason Allen.
Mr. Conrad was born on April 14, 1989, in Tallahassee, FL, to the late Rickie Devonne Conrad, and Sheilia Conrad Stephens, who survives. He was a surveyor with Gary Allen Land Surveying. Eric lived in Grady County all his life until joining the military in 2010. He was a Sgt.with the 2nd Platoon Bravo Company 1st Battalion 36th Infantry Regiment 1st Brigade 1st Armored Division stationed in Ft. Bliss, TX, where he was part of Operation Enduring Freedom and deployed to Afghanistan for almost a year. While serving in Afghanistan he was wounded and received the Purple Heart. He was a wonderful father to three beautiful children.
Survivors include: daughters, Makinley Conrad of Cairo, GA, Aria Conrad of Cairo, GA; son, Carson Conrad of Cairo, GA; mother of his children, Jami Conrad, Cairo, GA; mother, Sheilia D. Stephens and step-father, Johnny Stephens both of Cairo, GA; brother, Brian Folsom of Hahira, GA, Joshua Conrad (Rebecca) of Tallahassee, FL, Brandon Conrad of Cairo, GA; step-brother, Johnny Stephens, Jr. (Lynn) of Cairo, GA; sister, Ashley Folsom of Cairo, GA, Amber Garbett of Cairo, GA; half-sister, Jamie Conrad of Bainbridge, GA; step-sisters, Jessica Miller (Jake) of Cairo, GA, Brittany Sellars (Chris) of Cairo, GA; grandparents, Jackie and Ann Cox of Cairo, GA; great-grandmother, Hazel Wilkes of Thomasville, GA.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Rickie Devonne Conrad.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, December 30, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
