Memorial services for Erica Mae Atkinson, 19, of Cairo, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Monday, May 15, 2017, at Family Worship Center, Cairo, GA. Pastor Johnny Moore will officiate. Miss Atkinson passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Thursday, May 11, 2017.
Erica was born on June 14, 1997, in Thomasville, GA, to Terry Atkinson and Sandra Capuchino Atkinson, both of who survive. She graduated from Cairo High School and currently attended Bainbridge State College. She also worked at Dallas Wayne Company. She was a member of Family Worship Center in Cairo. Erica added joy to everyone’s life she was around. She loved everyone and everyone loved her.
Survivors include: her parents, Terry and Sandra Atkinson of Cairo, GA; brothers, Mark Prance (Lauren) of Havana, FL, Matthew Prance (Kandice) of Thomasville, GA, Jacob Atkinson of Leesburg, GA, Isaac Atkinson of Cairo, GA; sisters, Janie Owens (Jason) of Thomasville, GA, Krystal Clark (Christopher) of Thomasville, GA, Rachel Philmon (Brandon) of Thomasville, GA; grandfather, Virgil Chappell of Richlands, NC; step-grandmother, Harriett Atkinson of Kingsland, GA; nieces and nephews, Kathryn Owens, Colin Owens, Alyssa Clark, Olivia Clark, Ryan Smith, Brett Smith, Joy Philmon, Noah Philmon, Elijah Philmon, Aden Prance; aunts, Jessica Besancenez of Savannah, GA, Catherine Gildar of Atlanta, GA; and uncles, Felix Atkinson, Jr. of Thomasville, GA, Danny Foster of Richlands, NC.
She was preceded in death by: her grandparents, Hilda Chappell, Felix and Pauline Atkinson.
