Jerry Lamar Rich

Funeral services for Jerry Lamar Rich, 62, of Cairo, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 18, 2017, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. J. Eron White and Pastor Erik Fitzgerald will officiate. The service will conclude at the Chapel. Interment will be in Bold Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Rich passed away at his home in Grady County, GA, on Monday, May 15, 2017.

Active pallbearers will be John White, Keith Watson, Eddie Watson, Thomas Singletary, Oscar Singletary, Mark Cox and Carlton Mcquagge.

Mr. Rich was born on November 28, 1954, in Cairo, GA, to the late Charles Junior Rich and Susie Lonie Hudson Rich. He served his country in the United States Army. On March 26, 1981, he married Marilyn Goss Rich, who survives. He was a carpenter that specialized in trim and finish work. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: his wife of 36 years, Marilyn Goss Rich of Cairo, GA; son, Nathan Rich (Megan) of Boston, GA; daughter, Jennifer Rich of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Ava Rich and Lane Rich of Boston, GA; and a sister, Betty Rich White (Eron) of Sylvester, GA.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; and a sister, Sandra Rich Fite.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, May 18, 2017, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
