Memorial services for Robert Lavon Womble, 73, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 22, 2017, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Ron McCaskill will officiate. Services will conclude at the Chapel. Mr. Womble passed away at his home in Grady County, GA, on Wednesday, May 17, 2017.

Mr. Womble was born on February 26, 1944, in Cairo, GA, to the late Herschel L. Womble and Louise Horton Womble. On January 10, 1976, he married Linda Kelley Womble, who survives. He retired as a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of Flatt Creek Baptist Church in Clarkesville, GA.

Survivors include: his wife, Linda Kelley Womble of Clarkesville, GA; son, Gary Womble Hancock (Judey) of Milton, FL; daughters, Pam Glover (Stacey) of Whigham, GA, Lisa Womble of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Lexi Glover, Braydon Glover, Chloe Glover, all of Whigham, GA, Jade O’Berry of Milton, FL, Ian Hancock, Matthew Hancock, both of Riverview, FL; step-son, Tom Odom (Samantha) of Lake Jackson, TX; step-grandchildren, Chad Odom, Tommy Odom, both of Lake Jackson, TX, Marshall Odom of Dallas, TX; step-great-great-grandchild, Landon Odom of Lake Jackson, TX; sister, Joyce Rogers of Cairo, GA; brother, Donald Womble (Beverly) of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; step-daughter, Dianne Odom; step-son, Curtis Odom; and a brother, Wendell Womble.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home immediately following the memorial service.
