Memorial services for Clara Norton Morgan, 74, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Jim Weaver will officiate. Services will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be in Pine Level Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Morgan passed away at Grady General Hospital in Cairo, GA, on Saturday, August 5, 2017.
Mrs. Morgan was born on February 18, 1943, in Cairo, GA, to the late Bascum Norton and Mildred Inez Dollar Norton. On November 2, 1985, she married Aubrey Morgan, who preceded her in death in August of 2005. She retired as service manager of FoodLine Grocery Stores. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: sons, Jeffrey Bearden (Charlotte) of Crawfordville, FL, Jackie Bearden (Kristy) of Camilla, GA; grandchildren, Emily Mitchell (Bobby) of Cairo, GA, Scott Bearden of Cairo, GA, Cameron Bearden (Meagan) of Ochlocknee, GA, Thomas Bearden of Cairo, GA, Hansell Bearden (Ingrid) of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, Pace Mitchell, Paxton Mitchell, Adaline Bearden, Grayson Bearden, Leila Bearden, Charlie Bearden, Kale Bearden, Benton Bearden; sister, Becky Baggett (Johnny) of Cairo, GA; and brother, J. D. Norton (Mary) of Cairo, GA.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband; and a brother, Sonny Norton.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home immediately following the memorial service at the Chapel.
