Funeral services for Carl Wendell Johnson, 48, of Ochlocknee, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 25, 2017, at Pine Forest Baptist Church, Ochlocknee, GA. Rev. Dennis Norman and Rev. Jack House will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will be in Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery, Ochlocknee, GA. Mr. Johnson passed away at Grady General Hospital, Cairo, GA, on Sunday morning, August 20, 2017.

Active pallbearers will be Carroll Johnson, Royce Johnson, Jr., Brendan Johnson, George Marunich, Ray Pearson and Bruce Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Smith, Gary Meadows, Mack Pearson and Keith Meadows.

Mr. Johnson was born on September 28, 1968, in Cairo, GA, to Royce Malvis Johnson, Sr. and Mary Ellen Fowler Johnson, who survive. He served his country in the United States Army. On May 27, 1994, he married Anja Bomm Johnson, who survives. He was employed with Koyo Bearings USA in Cairo. He was a dedicated active member of Pine Forest Baptist Church, who enjoyed serving the Lord. Carl enjoyed spending time with his family especially his son on their many different adventures.

Survivors include: his wife of 23 years, Anja Bomm Johnson of Ochlocknee, GA; son, Brendan Johnson of Ochlocknee, GA; parents, Royce Malvis Johnson, Sr. and Mary Ellen Johnson of Ochlocknee, GA; and brothers, Carroll Wayne Johnson of Bremerhaven, Germany, Royce Malvis Johnson, Jr. (Angela) of Meigs, GA.

The family will receive friends at Pine Forest Baptist Church on Friday, August 25, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
