Memorial services for Marvin Eugene “Morrie” Hines, 53, of Pelham, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 26, 2017, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Pastor Johnny Moore will officiate. Mr. Hines passed away at his home in Pelham, GA, on August 22, 2017.

Mr. Hines was born on October 28, 1963, in Albany, GA, to the late Morris Herman Hines and Bobbie Ruth Butler Hines. On January 10, 1986, he married Tamela Renee Whitley Hines, who survives. He was the owner and operator of H and L Tree Service. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: his wife of 31 years, Tamela Renee Whitley Hines of Pelham, GA; son, Michael Cory Brantley of Pelham, GA; daughter, Miranda Renee Hines (Jarrod) of Panama City, FL; sisters, Tammy Stringer (Sid) of Wakulla, FL, Teressa Davis (Lavon) of Cairo, GA; nieces and nephews, Chris Kelly (Bethany), Eric Walden (Carolyn), Jeremy Davis (Chelsea), Sid Stringer (Stephanie), Jack Davis, III (Allicia), Derek Reeves (Nilson), Lori Ellerton (E.J.); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Daniel and Evelyn Whitley of Maggie Valley, NC; sister-in-law, Cyndie Lott (Acie) of Douglas, GA; brothers-in-law, Tillman Lott (Jessie) of Maggie Valley, NC, Avery Lott of Maggie Valley, NC; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, mother-in-law, Sandra Jowers Whitley; great-niece, Hollyn Joanna Walden; and great-nephew, Kenneth Eric Walden, Jr.

The family will receive friends at the home of Lavon Mills and Teressa Davis, 149 Hudson Road, Cairo, GA, on Friday, August 25, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
