Memorial services for Lewis Lorenzo “Luke” Oliver, 31, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at Cairo First United Methodist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Whit Byram will officiate. Luke passed away in Grady County, GA, on Sunday, August 27, 2017.
Luke was born on January 20, 1986, in Cairo, GA, to Lewis Blackwell Oliver and Lisa Butler Oliver. On November 23, 2013, he married Kacey Moring Oliver, who survives. Luke was a loving husband and father. He followed in his father’s footsteps working as a contractor in construction. Luke also had a passion for the outdoors and was known to be an avid fisherman.
Survivors include: his wife, Kacey Moring Oliver of Cairo, GA; daughter, Charlee Kate Oliver of Cairo, GA; sons, Lewis Bauer Oliver of Cairo, GA and Taylor Kinnard of Eatonton, GA; parents, Lisa and Lewis Oliver of Cairo, GA; brother, Chaz Oliver (Rachel) of Tallahassee, FL; sisters, Emily Oliver of Tallahassee, FL, Amy Oliver of Orlando, FL; grandmother, JoAnn Butler of Calvary, GA; Nieces, Anna, Caroline, and Ellie Kopelousos of Orlando, FL; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tony and Katrina Moring of Cairo, GA; mother-in-law, Joy Moring of Tallahassee, FL and a host of extended family.
He was preceded in death by: grandparents, Charles Butler, J. L. Oliver and Jane Oliver; uncles, Mac Butler, and Jimmy Oliver.
