Funeral services for Virginia Odum Holland, 78, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 16, 2017, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Tommy Odum will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Holland passed away at Camellia Gardens of Life Care in Thomasville, GA, on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.
Active pallbearers will be Rhett Odum, Mason Odum, David Vickers, Jimmy Mozingo, James Hartley and Tony Hartley.
Mrs. Holland was born on November 3, 1938, in Cairo, GA, to the late Lonnie Alvin Hartley and Cornelia Gertrude Scoggins Hartley. On August 25, 1956, she married J. T. Odum, who preceded her in death on January 30, 1986. On August 20, 1993, she married Woodrow Wilson Holland, who preceded her in death on September 18, 2001. She was a devoted homemaker. She loved to go fishing and go dancing on Saturday nights at the Pelham Jamboree. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: sons, John Odum (Jeanna) of Helen, GA, Larry Odum (Laura) of Cairo, GA, Wendell Odum (Tasha) of Cairo, GA; and 14 grandchildren, 14-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husbands; brothers, Alvin Hartley, Gene Hartley, Talmadge Hartley, Ed Hartley, Bill Hartley; and sisters, Iramae Odom, Hattie Royal, and Alice Pearson.
