Joyce Singletary Wade

Funeral services for Joyce Singletary Wade, 77, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 3, 2017, at Eastside Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Wayne McDonald and Rev. Andrew Donaldson will officiate. The family will have a private interment in Rawls Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Wade was called home by her Heavenly Father when she passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on Monday, October 30, 2017.

Mrs. Wade was born on August 4, 1940, in Cairo, GA, to the late Guyet Singletary and Ollie Sellars Singletary. On Dec. 23, 1959, she married Lewis Charles Wade, Jr., who preceded her in death on October 4, 2007. She retired from the Cairo Messenger and Hallmark. Later she served as the Nursery Director at Eastside Baptist Church for the last twenty-five years. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include: daughters, Donna Ouzts (Caylor) of Cairo, GA, Sonya Burton (Clinton) of Englewood, FL; step-son, Lennie Wade (Debra) of Crestview, FL; grandchildren, Kayla Gainous (Joel) of Cairo, GA, Kimber Ouzts of Cairo, GA, Sierra Couture of Gulfport, MS, William Couture of Valdosta, GA, Christopher Wade (Tammy), Carolyn Wade, Tamara Wade; great-grandchildren, Kody Marie Gainous; step-great-grandchildren, Carolina, Abby, Daxton, Owen; brothers, Robert Singletary (Connie), Bill Singletary (Candice), Gerald Singletary (Wanda), Phillip Singletary; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; and a daughter, Gloria Gail Wade.

The family will receive friends at Eastside Baptist Church on Friday, November 3, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
