Earl Gordon Harder

Funeral services for Earl Gordon Harder, 82, of Calvary, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 20, 2017, at Calvary Baptist Church, Calvary, GA. Rev. Rob Cronin, Rev. Paul Day and Rev. Bill Scott will officiate. Interment will be in Piedmont Cemetery, Calvary, GA. Mr. Harder went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 16, 2017.

Active pallbearers will be Ron Ellis, Marc Moncrief, Charles Harrison, Paul Boyette, Roger Sadler and Jerome Weaver.

Mr. Harder was born on January 20, 1935, in Haw River, NC, to the late Paul Harder and Lila Snyder Harder. He served his country in the United States Army. On Jan. 24, 1984, he married Mary Kay Johnson Harder, who survives. He was self-employed as a professional wallpaper hanger until his retirement. He was a faithful member of the Calvary Baptist Church until his recent illness.

Survivors include: his wife of 33 years, Kay Johnson Harder of Calvary, GA; son, Brett Whigham (Kimberly) of Fishers, IN; daughters, Kim Atkinson of Tallahassee, FL, Kellie Trednick of St. Augustine, FL, Kerrie Brandon (Brad) of Havana, FL, Lani Fraser (Neal) of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Evan, Jeremy, Anna, Megan, Nicholas, Alyssa, Kristin, Terri Jo, Crystal, Michael; great-grandchildren, Ricki Grace, Laya; mother-in-law, Mary Van Johnson of Calvary, GA; sister, Linda Massey of Haw River, NC; brother, Allen Harder of Burlington, NC; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; son-in-law, Ricky Atkinson; granddaughter, Nicole Wiberly; brother, Carl Harder, Clarence Harder; sister, Doris Fisher; and his father-in-law, George Johnson
Memorials may be made in Mr. Harder’s memory to: Calvary Baptist Church; or Piedmont Cemetery Fund.

The family will receive friends at Calvary Baptist Church on Monday, November 20, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
