Funeral services for Paul Brooks Roddenbery, 72, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 11, 2017, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home in Cairo, GA. Pastor Johnny Moore will officiate. Interment will be in the Cairo Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Roddenbery passed away at his home in Cairo, GA, on Wednesday, December 6, 2017.
Active pallbearers will be Dustin Thomas, Chase Thomas, Bryan Martinelli, Bryan Roddenbery, Lewis Oliver and Wyman Richter.
Mr. Roddenbery was born on June 14, 1945, in Cairo, GA, to the late Walter Blair Roddenbery Jr. and Virginia Middlebrooks Roddenbery. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia. He was a retired farmer and investor. Paul was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cairo.
Survivors include: his brother, Seaborn Roddenbery of Cairo, GA; nephew, Bryan Roddenbery; nieces, Holly Roddenbery, Kristin Roddenbery Martinelli (Bryan); Paul was the Godfather to Kit Thomas Chapin (Lee), Chase Thomas and Dustin Thomas; and a host of extended Roddenbery Family members.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; his brothers, Walter Roddenbery, III and Brandon Roddenbery.
Memorials may be made in Mr. Roddenbery’s memory to: the Roddenbery Memorial Library, 320 North Broad Street, Cairo, GA 39828; or the First United Methodist Church, 318 South Broad Street, Cairo, Georgia, 39828.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, December 11, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
