Graveside services for James Lee Sherrod, 58, of Donalsonville, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Thomasville, GA. Pastor Johnny Moore will officiate. Mr. Sherrod passed away at Southeast Alabama Medical Center, Dothan, AL, on Wednesday, December 20, 2017.

Mr. Sherrod was born on February 10, 1959, in Thomasville, GA, to Carolyn Scott Courtney, who survives, and the late Harold Lee Sherrod. Lee was self-employed in tree service and of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include: his mother, Carolyn Scott Courtney of Cairo, GA; nieces and nephews, Trey Courtney, Ashlea Jordan (Michael), Hunter Courtney, Fischer Courtney all of Cairo, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Frankie Courtney (Jane) of Cairo, GA, H. L. Sherrod of Boston, GA, Sam Sherrod of Whigham, GA.

He was preceded in death by: his father; brother, Kenny Sherrod; grandmother, Louvenia Harrison.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Thomasville, GA.
