Funeral services for Wheat Butler, 70, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, GA. Rev. Teddy Williamson will officiate. Services will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Butler passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Thursday, December 21, 2017.

Mr. Butler was born on October 24,1947, in Bainbridge, GA, to the late Lewis Butler, Sr. and Vera Musgrove Butler. He was a retail store manager for several businesses over the years. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: his sister, Gladys Butler Wright of Cairo, GA; nephews, LaDon Butler of Albany, GA, Lauren Butler of St. Simmons Island, GA; nieces, Lois Hanly of Bristol, GA, Mary Raulins of Bristol, GA; nieces, Georgia Butler of Montana, Britney Butler of Athens, GA, Jordan Butler of Athens, GA; great-niece, Mackensey Hanly of Ashleigh, VA; and a sister-in-law, Grace Butler of Albany, GA.

He was preceded in death by: his parents: a sister, Ruth Butler Parrish; and his brothers, Bernice W. Butler, Charles L. Butler, Jr.
