Funeral services for Linda Faircloth Long, 73, of Climax, GA, are at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Climax Baptist Church, Climax, GA. Rev. Steve Poppell will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Interment will be in Blackjack Baptist Church Cemetery, Bainbridge, GA. Mrs. Long passed away at her son’s home in Climax, GA, on Saturday, December 23, 2017.

Active pallbearers will be her nephews.

Mrs. Long was born on September 24, 1944, in Donalsonville, GA, to the late Cliff Faircloth and Lucille Lamb Faircloth. On May 26, 1962, she married Truett Edward Long, Sr., who preceded her in death on February 2, 2003. She was a homemaker and a member of the Climax Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her son, Truett Long, Jr. (Rhonda) of Climax, GA; daughter, Linda Carol McClure (Tommy) of Vada, GA; grandchildren, Torie Swain (Eric) of Climax, GA, Andrea Nicole Long (Martin) of Cairo, GA, Chawn Barrett (Heather) of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, Alexandra Swain, Abigail Swain, both of Climax, GA, Erica Hitchcock (Hunter) of Bainbridge, GA; brother, Buddy Faircloth of Tennessee; sisters, Dorothy Jean Buckhalter of Green Cove Springs, FL, Ann Cook of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; step-mother, Mabel Godwin Faircloth; her husband; grandchild, John Barrett; sister, Jo Frances Breyton, Alene Carter; and a brother, Ellis Lavene Faircloth.

The family will receive friends at Climax Baptist Church immediately following the funeral service.
