Betty Joyce Barrett Carter

Betty Joyce Barrett Carter, a resident of Dothan, AL, died Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. She was 71.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, 996 Prevatt Road Dothan, AL, with Pastor Kerry Kizer officiating.

Survivors include: her husband of twenty years, Edward Carter; two brothers, Carlos “Jock” Barrett (Sandra), Ronald Barrett (Lottis); one sister, Glinda Nichols; grandson, DJ Thompson; and one great-grandson, Brayden Wayne Thompson.

Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by: her son, Donavon Wayne Thompson; parents, Alvie Teaford and Mary Elizabeth Fain Barrett; brother, Grover Neal Barrett; and a sister, Mary Frances Prince.
