Funeral services for Freddie Lee-Roy Jackson, 65, of Greenwood, FL, are at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 19, 2018, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Pastor DeWayne Atkinson and Rev. Chris McDonald will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Jackson passed away at Jackson Hospital in Marianna, FL, on Friday, February 16, 2018.
Active pallbearers will be Bradley Jackson, Jimmy Lamar Jackson, Ronnie Jackson, Jimmy Jackson, Jr., Roger Ranew and Rhonda Ranew.
Mr. Jackson was born on September 28, 1952, in Thomasville, GA, to the late Theodore Leo Jackson and Mildred Bryant Jackson. He served his country in the United States Navy. On Sept. 26, 1991, he married Deborah Mitchell Jackson, who survives. He was a retired tug boat worker. He is a member of the Cairo Church of God.
Survivors include: his wife, Deborah Mitchell Jackson of Greenwood, FL; daughters, Kimberly Ranew (Roger) of Grand Ridge, FL, Angel Jackson of Waterville, ME, Nova Jackson, Tana Jackson, both of Cairo, GA, Karen Gonzalez (Mario) of Walla Walla, WA; son, Bradley J. Jackson of Greenwood, FL; grandchildren, Cheyenne Ranew of Grand Ridge, FL, Sierra Johnson of Greenwood, FL, Chelsea O. Palmer, Monica Mash, Timothy Ezell, all of Waterville, ME, Tessa Donaldson of Cairo, GA, Araina Ibit, Alicia Ibit, both of Walla Walla, ME, Brittney Thomas of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh O’Palmer, McKenzie O’Palmer, Octavia O’Palmer, Mila Raynes Williams, and 2 baby girls; brother, Jimmy Jackson (Debbie) of Bowling Green, KY, Ronnie Jackson (Gail) of Patterson, LA; special extended family, Nettie and Gene Sheffield of Cairo, GA, Verna Mae Bryant of Cairo, GA, Godchild, Cassara Reezs (J.C.) of Marrero, LA, Rhonda Ranew, Jeanie Griffin, Robert Stewart (Kathy), all of Grand Ridge, FL; his pet, ZZ Jackson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Debbie Jackson; brother, Henry Leo “Sonny” Jackson; daughter, Rebecca Johnson; and a grandson, Manny Ibit.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, February 19, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
