Marion Spooner Harrison

Memorial services for Marion Elizabeth Spooner Harrison, 81, of Calvary, Georgia are at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 6, 2018, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, Georgia, with her nephews Donald and Steve Harrison officiating. A private interment will occur at a later date. Mrs. Harrison passed away at Grady General Hospital in Cairo, Georgia on Tuesday, May 1, 2018.
Mrs. Harrison was born on September 17, 1936 in Havana, Florida to the late Luther Spooner and Maggie Lambert Spooner. She was married to Buenah Clyde “B.C.” Harrison until he preceded her in death on July 8, 2010. She worked as a secretary for many years and enjoyed reading, taking trips, and spending time with family. She was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include: her son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Cynthia Harrison of Cairo, Georgia; granddaughter, Cheri Wright (Trent) of Cairo, Georgia; brothers-in-law, James Haywood Harrison of Lexington, Kentucky and Phillip Stewart of Tallahassee, Florida; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Harrison Taylor and Grace Harrison Hunter of Calvary, Georgia and Virginia Spooner of Tallahassee, Florida; special cousin, Ruth Spencer; and a host of very loved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; a son, Joe Clyde Harrison; brothers, Sterlin Spooner and Curtis Frank Spooner; sister, Helen Ann Stewart; brothers-in-law, Donald Laverne Harrison, Billy Hunter, and Billy Taylor; and sisters-in-law, Doris Elkins Harrison and Lorraine Harrison.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home immediately following the service on Sunday, May 6, 2018.
