Albert Lee “Curly” Ferrell
December 16, 1937 – August 4, 2018

Funeral services for Albert Lee “Curly” Ferrell, 80, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 9, 2018, at Long Branch Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Jeff Ezell will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Ferrell passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Saturday, August 4, 2018.

Active pallbearers will be Long Branch Church Brotherhood Members, Howard Crawford, Tom Sampson, John Tillis, Carl Lee, Larry Hudson and Jerry Carroll.

Mr. Ferrell was born on December 16, 1937, in Cairo, GA, to the late Claude Lee Ferrell and Dazzie James Miley. He retired from the Unites States Air Force after 20 years of service. He later retired from the United States Postal Service. He loved to bass fish and he was a devoted member of Long Branch Baptist Church in Cairo.

Survivors include: his daughters, Norah Olivastro (Tony) of Oviedo, FL, Marsha Ferrell of Sevierville, TN; grandchildren, Matthew Esbobar, Mario Esbobar, Jr, Anthony Artalona; sister, Julia Clark of Havana, FL; long-time companion, Ellen Ferrell of Cairo, GA; Ellen’s children, Burt Ferrell (Pam) of Leesburg, GA, Tammy Ferrell Keith (Scott) of Phoenix City, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; the mother of his children, Shirley Fain Ferrell; brothers, Charles Ferrell, Johnny Ferrell; and a sister, Louise Ferrell.

The family will receive friends at Long Branch Baptist Church on Thursday, August 9, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
