Funeral services for Karis DeAnn Holt Mills, 47, of Whigham, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 16, 2018, at Family Worship Center, 1760 US HWY 84 W, Cairo, GA. Rev. Earl Justice and Rev. Mack Beck will officiate. Interment will be in Old Mars Hill Cemetery, Decatur County, Georgia. Mrs. Mills passed away at her home in Whigham, GA, on Saturday, August 11, 2018.
Active pallbearers will be Trey Godwin, Jeff Justice, Terry Beck, Chad Kimbrell, Frank Holt and Rodney Holt.
Mrs. Mills was born on March 5, 1971, in Thomasville, GA, to Nathan Timothy Holt and Brenda Louise Justice. On October 26, 1996, she married Stacy Mills, who preceded her in death on November 25, 2006. She graduated from Thomas University where she majored in Business Administration with concentration in Marketing and was the Director of Customer Service with the City of Thomasville, GA. She was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Quitman, GA. Karis lived her life to the fullest and was never happier than being with her family and friends. Her smile and laughter brightened every family gathering.
Survivors include: her mother, Brenda Justice of Coolidge, GA; her father, Tim Holt of Whigham, GA; grandparents; Rev. Earl and Betty Justice of Quitman, GA; sister-in-law, Marchelle Godwin (Trey) of Pelham, GA; nephew, Kade Godwin of Pelham, GA; and fur babies, Sammi, Sophi, and Buddy; and a host of extended family members.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Stacy Mills; grandparents; Euliss Lawton and Lillie Holt; and a mother-in-law, Gail Mills.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Mills’ memory to: Stitches Animal Shelter, c/o Kenneth Johnson, 284 South Harney Street, Camilla, GA 31730; or Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society, Transportation Fund, 180 Big Star Drive, Thomasville, GA 31757.
The family will receive friends at Family Worship Center on Thursday, August 16, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
