Alta Mae Keller

Funeral services for Alta Mae Keller, 72, of Ochlocknee, GA, are at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 21, 2018, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Gerald Horne will officiate. Services will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Keller passed away at her home in Ochlocknee, GA, on Tuesday, September 18, 2018.
Active pallbearers will be Matthew Young, Daniel Chason, Timothy Keller, Jason Maxwell, George Banks and Keith Meadows.
Mrs. Keller was born on April 18, 1946, in Pineville, MO, to the late Lloyd Browning and Georgia Schmitt Browning. On July 5, 1964, she married, Francis Douglas “Doug” Keller, who survives. They were married for 54 years. She retired from the Grady County Board of Education. She was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church in Cairo.
Survivors include: her husband, Doug Keller of Ochlocknee, GA; son, Steven Keller (Rhonda) of Ochlocknee, GA; daughter, Pam Franklin of Ochlocknee, GA; grandchildren, Nicki Josey (Will), Amber Beverly, Haley Rich (Taylor), Blake Franklin, all of Ochlocknee, GA; great-grandchildren, Payton Josey, Alex Josey, Jackson Beverly, Aubrey Mae Rich, all of Ochlocknee, GA; brother, Jerry Browning of Bentonville, AK, James Browning (Janette) of Augusta, KS, Larry Browning of Pineville, MO; sisters-in-law, Hazel Browning of Salt Lake City, UT, Gail Browning of AR, Janie Browning of Augusta, KS; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Buck Browning, Pill Browning, Ed Browning; and a sister, Kay Duncan.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, September 20, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
