Funeral services for Ruth Reynolds Prince, 73, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 5, 2018, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Stacey Glover and Rev. Jim Weaver will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mrs. Prince passed away at Heritage Healthcare Center in Tallahassee, FL, on Tuesday, October 2, 2018.
Active pallbearers will be Lamar Prince, Marty Powe, Jimmy Rehberg, David Johnson, Troy Singletary and Jody Harvey. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitchell “Bubba” Prince, Johnny Jenkins and Alan Lawrence.
Mrs. Prince was born on November 30, 1944, in Cairo, GA, to the late Robert Reynolds and Alma Cooper Reynolds. On June 15, 1962, she married Joseph Franklin “Joe” Prince, who preceded her in death on February 1, 2018. They were married for 55 years. She began her banking career of 47 years as a teller with Bank of Thomas County and progressed up through the ranks to retire as the Vice-President of Bank of America in Thomasville. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed watching her two grandsons playing baseball. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include: son, Joey Prince of Cairo, GA; grandsons, Benjamin Andrew Prince, William Anthony Prince, both of Cairo, GA; brothers, Steve Reynolds (Anita) of Bainbridge, GA, Bob Reynolds of Gainesville, FL; brothers-in-law, Royce Prince of Cairo, GA, Thomas Glenn Prince (Georgia) of Augusta, GA; sisters-in-law, Judy O’Neal of Cairo, GA, Georgia Prince of Augusta, GA, Lynette Simpson of Cairo, GA, Velma Prince of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by: her parents: her husband; and a sister-in-law, Maynelle Reynolds.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, October 4, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
