Wallace Richard Bishop

Funeral services for Wallace Richard Bishop, 77, of Whigham, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 7, 2018, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Carl Harrell will officiate. Services will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Bishop passed away at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, FL, on Thursday, October 4, 2018.

Mr. Bishop was born on October 3, 1941, in Cairo, GA, to the late Jesse Leonard Bishop and Sara Montine Owens Bishop. He served his country in the United States Air Force. On January 15, 1965, he married Margie Collins Bishop, who survives. He was a member of the Reno Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife of 53 years, Margie Collins Bishop of Whigham, GA; son, Richard Bishop (Adaire) of Iron City, GA; daughter, Monica Wilson (Carter) of Jacksonville, FL; and grandchildren, Dustin and Payton, both of Iron City, GA, Tanner and Zachary, both of Jacksonville, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronnie Bishop.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, October 6, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
