Funeral services for Marvin V. Brown, 96, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Jim Weaver will officiate. Services will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Brown passed away at his home in Cairo, GA, on Sunday, October 7, 2018.

Mr. Brown was born on September 12, 1922, in Buchanan, GA, to the late Irene Brown. Marvin served his country in the United States Army. He was a graduate of Georgia Tech and worked in sales with Brown and Parka. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: his wife, Joyce Snider Brown of Cairo, GA; son, Bruce Brown (Delores) of Cairo, GA; daughter, Barbara Nelson (Archie) of Dacula, GA; step-daughter, Joy Tinney (Bret) of Thomasville, GA; step-children, Callie Faulhaber (Bill) of Fresco, TX, Al Brodgon (Helen) of Cairo, GA, Holly Prescott; 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family

He was preceded in death by his father, mother and a son, Bo Brown.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home immediately following the funeral service.
