Funeral services for Margaret Elaine Singleton Dodson, 83, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Vada, GA. Rev. Jimmy Ausburn and Rev. Marion Sizemore will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, Vada, GA. Mrs. Dodson passed away at PruittHealth in Sylvester, GA, on Saturday, October 13, 2018.
Active pallbearers will be Alonzo Rodriguez, Ramon Cotto, Coleman Sizemore, Phillip Rodriguez, Dylan Harper, Bailey Ferrell, Colton Ferrell, Jackson Uresti, Gabe Rodriguez and Dalyn Walker.
Mrs. Dodson was born on January 16, 1935, in Camilla, GA, to the late John A. Singleton and Lula Merle Taylor Singleton. She was married to Oscar K. Dodson, who preceded her in death. She retired as a manager from Estelle’s Restaurant in Camilla. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Vada, GA.
Survivors include: daughters, Jackie Poitevint (Duane) of Cairo, GA, Angela Hawthorne (James) of Whigham, GA; son-in-law, Rev. Marion Sizemore of Albany, GA; step-children, Ellie Butler (David) of Climax, GA, Phillip Dodson (Rita) of Climax, GA, Jackie Dodson of Panama City, FL, Theron Dodson of Texas; step-daughters-in-law, Marylyn Dodson of Climax, GA, Nancy Dodson of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Richie Sizemore (Michelle) of Albany, GA, Michelle Richardson (Ellis) of Cairo, GA, Shelia Daniel (Mark) of Albany, GA, Jodi Brock of Cairo, GA, Kim Uresti of Houston, TX, Amanda Rodriguez (Alonzo) of Tifton, GA, Natasha Cotto (Ramon) of Ashburn, GA, Rhonda Wells (Jay) of Colquitt, GA, Renee Adams (Stephen) of Flowery Branch, GA; 20 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Steve Singleton (Cheryl) of Vada, GA, Tony Singleton (Kitty) of Vada, GA; sisters-in-law, Margie Singleton, Carolyn Singleton, Nina Singleton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; daughter, Diane Sizemore; great-grandchildren, T. J. Ferrell, Ashton Ball; brothers, John Albert Singleton, Carroll Singleton, Robert Singleton; and step-children, James Dodson, Walter Dodson.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, October 15, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
