Beatrice Reaves Brinkley

Memorial services for Nellie Beatrice Reaves Brinkley, 88, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at Hilltop Bible Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Pastor Glen Scoggin and Bro. Billy Willis will officiate. Mrs. Brinkley passed away at her home in Cairo, GA, on Saturday, December 15, 2018.

Mrs. Bea was born on March 15, 1930, in Moultrie, GA, to the late Barney Perkins Reaves and Nellie Bea Stansberry Reaves. On February 21, 1948, she married Rev. Hugh Lee Brinkley, who preceded her in death on June 1, 2007. She was a housewife and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: son, Cyrus Posea Brinkley (Cheryl) of Whigham, GA; daughters, Lynda Yvonne Houck (W. C.) of Havana, FL, Brenda Gail Caudill (John Wayne) of Lexington, NC, Barbara Lee Hill (Shelton) of Abbeville, AL; 23 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elaine White of Cotton, GA.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; daughter, Katie Beatrice Brinkley; grandsons, Wayne F. Sellers, Eric LaDon Sellers; great-grandson, Cameron Keith Brock; and 7 brothers, 2 sisters.

The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at the church.
