Funeral services for Dorothy Irene Brock, 86, of Cairo, GA, are at 3:00 p.m., Monday, January 7, 2019, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Rev. Robert Crapps will officiate. Services will conclude at the Chapel. A private interment will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, GA. Mrs. Brock passed away at Camellia Gardens of Life Care, Thomasville, GA, on Thursday, January 3, 2019.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Faircloth, Mickey Green, Jimmy Green, Stanley Green, Joel Jones, Glenn Jones and George Trulock.

Mrs. Brock was born on April 17, 1932, Mitchell County, GA, to the late George G. Godwin and Hattie Burnum Godwin. She was married to Bradford Lee Brock, who preceded her in death on March 2, 1994. She was a home maker, and a member of Providence Baptist Church. Irene loved her family, church, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Survivors include: son, Mike Brock (Sue) of Whigham, GA; grandson, Jeremy Brock of Whigham, GA; sisters, Mary Green of Whigham, GA, Sidney Jones of Cairo, GA; a host of nieces and nephews; her beloved extended family, Lamar and Betty Prince, Robert Baxter, Owen Cassels and Sophia Gilstrap.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Bradford Lee Brock; sisters, Doris Godwin, Curtis Hammond, Christine Bishop; and brothers, Kelso Godwin, Dwight Godwin.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home immediately following the service on Monday, January 7, 2019.
