George Carroll Williams

A visitation for George Carroll Williams, 85, of Cairo, GA, will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 20, 2019, at Clark Funeral Home, Cairo, GA. Private interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Cairo, GA. Mr. Williams passed away at Rose City Health and Rehabilitation in Thomasville, GA, on Thursday, January 17, 2019.

Mr. Williams was born on November 19, 1933, in Cairo, GA, to the late George Hiram Williams and Maudie Strickland Williams. On April 2, 1955, he married Billie Faye Williams, who preceded him in death on January 8, 2015. He retired after owning and operating several businesses. He was a member of the Cairo First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: daughter, Teresa Williams Shiver (Rex) of Panama City Beach, FL; son, Jeffrey Carroll Williams (Tammy) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Bryan Taylor Shiver (Kathryn) of Charleston, SC, Jeffrey Lee Williams (Lelia) of Whigham, GA, Megan Harden Harrell (Ricky) of Thomasville, GA, Joe Carter (Allison) of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, Blakely Caroline Shiver, Marshall Taylor Shiver, Ryley Ann Edwards, George Cole Williams, Hanna Faye Williams, Hazel Leigh Williams, Laynee Stewart, Jerry Cade Harrell, Emerius Harden, Kaylee Harden, Aubrey Singletary, Griffin Carter; brother, Russell Roger Williams (Willena) of McKinney, TX; sister, Jackie Barrineau Hancock of Tallahassee, FL; and a sister-in-law, Mozell Williams of Thomasville, GA.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife; and a brother, Charles Dean Williams.
