Funeral services for Elizabeth J. Davis, 90, of Cairo, GA, are at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 4, 2019, Graveside in Pinecrest Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pelham, GA. Rev. Nathan Fowler will officiate. Mrs. Davis passed away at Rose City Health and Rehabilitation Center in Thomasville, GA, on Friday, March 1, 2019.
Active pallbearers will be Chris Sheffield, Chad Gordon, Kevin Hancock and Jason Vinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Hancock, Keith Larson and Trent Larson.
Mrs. Davis was born on November 8, 1928, in Cairo, GA, to the late Roscoe Jones and Lizzie Belle Cooper Jones. On May 31, 1953, she married Jonah A. Davis, who preceded her in death on August 3, 1999. She retired from Hand Trading Company in Pelham as a sales clerk. She was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include: niece, Mary Poppell (Bill) of Concord, FL; nephews-in-law, Wallace Hancock of Whigham, GA; great-nieces, Betsy Sheffield (Chris) of Clearwater, FL, Amy Gordon (Bill) of Whigham, GA, Dana Larson (Keith) of Tallahassee, FL; great-nephews, Kevin Hancock (Faye) of Whigham, GA, Jason Vinson (Jessica) of Monticello, FL; and host of extended family.
She was preceded in death by: parents; husband; brothers, John Russell Jones, Joe Frank Jones; nieces, Gwen Hancock, Jackie Chason, Connie Vinson; and a great-nephew, Carl Vinson.

The family will be gathering at the home of Betsy Chason Sheffield in Pelham, GA.
The family will receive friends at Graveside immediately following the funeral service.
