Milton Kirkpatrick “Kirk” Lowry, Jr.

Milton Kirkpatrick “Kirk” Lowry, Jr., 81, of Cairo, GA, passed away at Grady General Hospital in Cairo, GA, on Monday, February 3, 2020. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Seneca, SC Services—The family will receive friends at the Brown-Oglesby Funeral Home, on Friday, February 7, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in the Mountain View Cemetery, Seneca, SC.

Mr. Lowry was born on September 17, 1938, in Seneca, SC, to the late Milton Kirkpatrick Lowry, Sr. and Beryl Lawrence Lowry. On August 31, 1960, he married Ann Burriss Lowry, who preceded him in death on April 18, 2012. He graduated from Clemson University with a degree in mechanical engineering. Kirk was employed with the Torrington Company for many years. He was a member of the Cairo Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Milton and Sharon Lowry of Ochlocknee, GA; granddaughter, Lauren Lowry of Thomasville, GA; grandson, Hunter Harness of Ochlocknee, GA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jane and Tilman Williams of Seneca, SC; and his companion, Fran Maggard of Mexico Beach, FL.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Ann Burriss Lowry; and a son, John B. Lowry.
