Gerilyn Moore Blackman

Gerilyn Moore Blackman, 73, of Thomasville, GA, passed away in Cairo, GA, on Wednesday, February 19, 2020. The family will have a memorial service at a later time.

Mrs. Blackman was born on January 20, 1947, in London, Ontario Canada, to Walter J. Moore and the late Isabelle Millar Moore. On April 28, 2017, she married Dennis Blackman, who survives. She graduated from Valdosta State University and was a registered nurse with Archbold Memorial Hospital until her retirement. The children cherished and loved their mother.

Survivors include: her husband, Dennis Blackman of Thomasville, GA; children, Christina Rich of Hoschton, GA, Susan Hinson (Bill) of Macon, GA, Ashley Hinson of Atlanta, GA, John “Jay” Hinson, Jr. (Brittany) of West Palm Beach, FL, Lindsey Ritter (J.B.) of Tallahassee, FL; step-son, Cole Blackman of Thomasville, GA; grandchildren, Jack Rich, Kate Rich, Scout Rich, all of Hoschton, GA, Kanon Hinson of Macon, GA, Harper Hinson, Hayes Hinson, Hadley Hinson, all of West Palm Beach, FL; father, Walter J. Moore (Helga) of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Karla Moore of Mableton, GA; sisters-in-law, Gail Eubanks (Randy) of Coolidge, GA, Lynn Bohman (Bob) of Thomasville, GA, Jackie Thacker (David) of Thomasville, GA. She was preceded in death by her mother.
