Grace Allene Hunt Mitchell

Grace Allene Hunt Mitchell, 85, of Calvary, GA, passed away at her home on Monday, April 27, 2020. A memorial service will be held at a later time.

Mrs. Mitchell was born on September 5, 1934, in Point Enterprize, TX, to the late Eugene Peoples Hunt, Sr. and Ellen Stovall Hunt. Grace married the love of her life, Emmett Eugene Mitchell of Calvary GA, on June 19, 1955, at the First Baptist Church in Corpus Christi, TX. They were married for almost 65 years. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Calvary, GA.

Survivors include: her husband, Emmett Eugene Mitchell of Calvary, GA; sons, David Eugene Mitchell (Leslye) of McKinney, TX, Michael Lane Mitchell (Debbie) of Ennis, TX; grandchildren, Ross Allen Mitchell (Jessica) of Ft. Meyers, FL, Cara Lynn Mitchell of Ennis, TX, Collin Lane Mitchell of Ennis, TX, Travis Wade Mitchell of Ennis, TX, Thomas James Mitchell of McKinney, TX, Matthew John Mitchell of McKinney, TX; sister-in-law, Lynn Hunt of Georgetown, TX; nieces, Diana Prewitt (Ron) of McDade, TX, Barbara Hinnant (Reggie) of Corpus Christi, TX; nephews, Reese Bennett Hunt, Jr. (Cheryl) of Corpus Christi, TX, Douglas Hammond Hunt(Sharon) of Nogal, NM; brother-in-law, Larry Mitchell (Jo Ann) of Cayce, SC; and sisters-in-law, Grace Stinson of Pensacola, FL, Julia Harrison (Willie) of Cairo, GA.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Reese Bennett Hunt, Eugene Peoples Hunt, Jr.; sister, Mary Gwendolyn Hunt Obrien; nephew, Douglas Allen Hunt; brother-in-law, William Carl Mitchell, Jr.; and a sister-in-law, Frances Mitchell.
