Earl Owens Hawthorne
February 24, 1954 – December 16, 2020

Earl Owens Hawthorne, 66, of the Republic of Panama, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.  The family will have a memorial service at his mother’s home in Cairo on Saturday, December 19, 2020.  Rev. Jimmy Ausburn will officiate.

Mr. Hawthorne was born on February 24, 1954, in Cairo, GA, to the late Elmer Owens Hawthorne and Nathelyn Virginia Whigham Hawthorne, who survives.  On January 21, 1999, he married Nora Cecilia Castor, who survives.  He was the owner and operator of a crane service in the country of Panama.  Earl was a loving son, brother, father and grandfather.

Survivors include: his wife, Nora Cecilia Hawthorne Castor of Panama; children, Fatima Adsett of Panama, Natalia Hawthorne of Cairo, GA, James Roger Hawthorne of Panama, Nora Kristelys Arauz Castro of Panama, Michael Dominguez of Miami, FL; grandchildren, Jared Barfield of Cairo, GA, Alyssa Adsett, Ana Hawthorne, Hannah Hawthorne, Adele Adsett, all of Panama; mother, Nathelyn Virginia Hawthorne of Cairo, GA; sister, Myra Akridge (Steve) of Cairo, GA; and a brother, Larry Hawthorne (Betty) of Whigham, GA.

He was preceded in death by: his father; and his grandparents, Alton and Lila Hawthorne, Virgil and Eunice Lee Whigham.
