Larry Randolph Barrett

Funeral services for Larry Randolph Barrett, 59, of Cairo, GA, are on Monday, January 4, 2021, in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Glenn Scoggin and Rev. David Harrell will officiate.  Mr. Barrett passed away at Grady General Hospital in Cairo, GA, on Thursday, December 31, 2020.

Active pallbearers will be his nephews, Chris Barrett, Spencer Barrett, Josh Barrett, Thomas Barrett, Bobby Merritt, Daniel Hammond, Phillip Corbin, Allen Corbin, and Patrick Stilwell.

Mr. Barrett was born on June 11, 1961, in Cairo, GA, to the late Tracy Ford Barrett and Mary Osborn Barrett, who survives.  On November 7, 1980, he married Cathy Corbin Barrett, who survives.  He was a Bridge Construction Foreman with Southern Concrete Construction for 40 plus years.  He was a dedicated member of Hilltop Bible Baptist Church in Cairo, where he was currently serving as a deacon.  He has also served as Sunday School Superintendent and Youth Leader.  His hobbies included fishing and going to church.

Survivors include: his wife, Cathy Barrett of Cairo, GA; children, Melissa Barrett (James Stevens) of Cairo, GA, Amanda Tillery (Robert Tillery) of Ochlocknee, GA, Andrew Barrett (Nicole Barrett) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Cierra Pineda, Brianna Cox, Colby Copeland, Caimon Tillery, Corbin Tillery, Keegan Barrett, Kinsley Barrett, Shaylee Stewart, Rylee Stevens, and Emylee Stevens; brothers, Bragg Barrett (Loretta) of Cairo, GA, Dean Barrett (Belinda) of Cairo, GA; sister, Sybil Merritt (Troy) of Cairo, GA; his mother, Mary Barrett of Cairo, GA; a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and his dog, Storm.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Tracy Barrett; grandparents, Gordon and Loretta Osborn and Paul and Effie Barrett.
