Rita Morgan Hester
December 24, 1953 – February 8, 2021

Rita Morgan Hester, a resident of Dothan, Alabama and a former resident of Atlanta, Georgia died Monday, February 8, 2021 at her home.

A private graveside commitment service for Rita Hester will be Friday, February 12, 2021 at Trinity Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Whigham, Georgia.  Reverend Chris Allen will officiate.

Ms. Hester was born on December 24, 1953 in Cairo, Georgia to the late Leo Pervis Hester and Winnie Jean Hester.  During her developmental years, she attended The Cairo First Baptist Church.  She was a graduate of Cairo High School and Georgia Southern University.

She started her business career in Atlanta, Georgia and worked for several major companies.  The last ten years she worked for Primerica, Inc. in Duluth, Georgia as a software engineer.  She retired in December 2018 and moved to Dothan to be closer to her brother.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving relatives include her brother, Pervis Hester and wife, Susan of Dothan, Alabama; nephew, Brad Hester and wife, Amy and their children, Lauren and Penny; four special Maxwell cousins and their spouses.
