Nadine Carver Davis
June 10, 1943 – March 27, 2021

Private graveside funeral services for Nadine Carver Davis, 77, of Cairo, GA, are on Monday, March 29, 2021, in the Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church Cemetery, Ochlocknee, GA.  Rev. Glen Scoggin and Rev. David Harrell will officiate.  Mrs. Davis passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA, on Saturday, March 26, 2021.

Mrs. Davis was born on June 10, 1943, in Douglas, to the late Ones Carver and Eunice McKinnon Carver.  On April 4, 1974, she married Joseph W. Davis, who survives.  She retired from the Torrington Company of Cairo.  She was a member of the Hilltop Bible Baptist Church in Cairo.  Nadine was a loving and caring person who worked as a hospice volunteer for the last six years.  She loved to read, sew and care for her pet chickens in her spare time.  Her greatest joy was sharing Sunday’s meals with her loving family that included her special cakes and pies.

Survivors include: her husband, Joseph W. Davis of Cairo, GA; children, Alan Davis (Michael) of Valdosta, GA, Burt Reagan (Cindy) of Cairo, GA, Kay Owens (Glen) of Ochlocknee, GA; grandchildren, Danielle Watson (Marcus) of Thomasville, GA, Joel Hayes (Payge) of Cairo, GA; great-grandchildren, Scarlett Hancock of Thomasville, GA, Mackenzie Owens of Tallahassee, FL, Kie Watson of Thomasville, GA; sister, Annie Benton (Gene) of Cairo, GA; brother, Jimmy Carver (Mary Alice); an honorary child, Edgar Escobar of Tlaxcala City, Mexico; special friends, Linda Collins of Whigham, GA, Cathy Whitley of Cairo, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; children, James Mitchell Reagan, Kelly Leigh Reagan, Rodney Davis; and siblings, Pete Carver, Melvin Carver, Felder “Shorty” Carver, Donald Carver, Sara Williams, Viola Harvin, Mary McCallister.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Davis’ memory to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
