Graveside funeral services for Heidi Marie Smith, 42, of Levelland, TX, are at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 11, 2021, in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Steve Petty will officiate.  Interment will be in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mrs. Smith passed away at Covenant Hospital in Levelland, TX, on Tuesday, May 4, 2021.

Mrs. Smith was born on March 16, 1979, in Moultrie, GA, to Wayne Hancock and Lona Merle Brinson Hall.  On February 14, 2015, she married James Smith, who survives.  She was a health caregiver.  She was a member of New Harvest Ministries in Adel, GA.

Survivors include: her husband, James Smith of Levelland, TX; children, Corey Hancock of Camilla, GA, Andrew Turner of Camilla, GA; grandchildren, Blake Turner, Rosalin Shiflett, both of Quitman, GA; father, Wayne Hancock (Brenda) of Moultrie, GA; mother, Merle Hall (Danny) of Camilla, GA; brother, Scott Hancock (Terri) of Tifton, GA; sister, Amy Williams (Brandon) of Moultrie, GA, Toni Knight (Sean) of Thomasville, GA; step-brother, Russ Griffin of Newman, GA; Heather Griffin of Moultrie, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
