Funeral services for Jack Wesley McCorkle, 51, of Cairo, GA, are at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at the Cairo Church of God, Cairo, GA.  Rev. DeWayne Atkinson and Rev. Gerald Horne will officiate.  Private family interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Mr. McCorkle passed away at his home on Friday, May 21, 2021.

Active pallbearers will be Dave Ellington, Jamie McCorkle, B. J. Wright, Marcus White, Will Wright and James Willis.

Mr. McCorkle was born on March 1, 1970, in Thomasville, GA, to the late Jack Buford McCorkle and Glynda Wynn McCorkle, who survives.

Survivors include: his mother, Glynda McCorkle of Cairo, GA; uncle, Larry McCorkle (Sandy) of Cairo, GA; cousins, Richard Willis (Lutrele Wiggins) of Pelham, GA, Marty Willis (Jennifer) of Manassas, VA, Jamie McCorkle (Angie) of Cairo, GA; and a host of cousins and extended family.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Jack McCorkle; sister and brother-in-law, Autumn Scarlet Burgess and Johnne Everett “Sonny” Burgess, Jr.; nephew, Tyler McCorkle Burgess; and niece, Cierra Cheyenne Burgess.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. McCorkle’s memory to: Cairo Church of God, 301 Livestock Pavilion Road, Cairo, GA, 39828; or Rose City Church of God, c/o Allen Holder-Church Clerk, 115 Meadow Lake Drive, Ochlocknee, GA 31773.

The family will receive friends at Cairo Church of God on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
